Stream Energy Cares For Veterans, The Homeless, And Disaster Victims

What do veterans, the homeless, and natural disaster survivors have in common? They have all benefited from Stream Energy’s charitable initiative Stream Cares. Stream Energy is a Texas-based direct sales energy company. The company’s list of services extends beyond offering fixed-rate energy to individuals and businesses. Stream also provides cell phone service and technology that enables doctors to consult with patients remotely.

It is one thing for a company to give money and another to give time. Stream Energy gives both. Operation Once in a Lifetime reaches out to military personnel who have fallen on hard times. The organization answers the veteran’s fiscal and psychological needs. Stream Cares teamed with Operation Once in a Lifetime to provide vets and their families with transportation to a restaurant where Stream and Operation treated them to a barbecue lunch.

The day after the luncheon girls from military families visited the American Girl Experience as quests of Stream Cares. Stream employees served as chaperones on the trip and during the noon repast that was provided. If needed, Stream personnel also assisted the young ladies in choosing the new American Girl doll they would take home courtesy of Stream Cares.

In addition to Operation Once in a Lifetime Stream Energy has worked with Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, and Hope Supply Company. In 2017 Hurricane Harvey deluged areas of Houston with nearly five feet of water. The destruction that Harvey left in its wake was equal to that of Hurricane Katrina. The first relief money donated came from Stream Energy.

Every year 1000 homeless children can look forward to Stream Energy and Hope Supply Company treating them to a day at a water park. This event is another opportunity for Stream employees to interact directly with the people their company helps. When Hope Supply Company isn’t tending to the emotional needs of homeless children it tends to their material and educational needs. Senior Event Manager for Stream Kimberly Girard summed up what drives her employer’s charity work by declaring, “We’re an organization with heart…”

Luminesce, the anti-aging skin moisturizer by Jeunesse Global, continues strong sales

It’s extremely rare that any startup company is able to go from zero to competing with some of the top names in an industry. It is ever rarer to see this occur within the span of just 9 years. But this is exactly what Jeunesse Global, one of the fastest-growing health and beauty companies in the world, has been able to achieve.

Founded in 2009 by direct-marketing whizzes Randy Ray and Wendy Lewis, Jeunesse Global was originally started as a way for the newly retired couple to pass their spare hours. But the couple’s natural ambition and entrepreneurial talents quickly began to kick into high gear. Before they knew it, Ray and Lewis were no longer retired. They were full-time entrepreneurs growing their new venture, Jeunesse Global.

From the start, Ray and Lewis approached their new company differently. As people who had already accomplished virtually every goal they had ever set in business and life, they wanted Jeunesse to be more than another way to generate personal wealth. Instead, they wanted their latest company, which would very likely be their last enterprise, to be a life statement. Ray and Lewis wanted to form a company that would create products of lasting contribution to the world, helping people to reach their life goals and changing lives for the better.

And the proof of Ray and Lewis’ sincerity in this mission is reflected in the quality and novelty of Jeunesse Global products. One example is the company’s skin moisturizer, Luminesce. As a standalone moisturizer lotion, Luminesce performs admirably, ranking towards the top in head-to-head comparisons with other products in its class. It is also available for a very competitive price, making its purchase an easy decision.

But Luminesce departs from other moisturizers in its ability to deliver anti-aging results that leave all other moisturizers in the dust. Infused with the company’s secret APT-200 molecule, Luminesce is able to help erase wrinkles, prevent the formation of new wrinkles and restore lost elasticity to the skin, which is an inevitable consequence of aging and a main cause of sagging and drooping.

Luminesce can help people to look years or decades younger.

Former Uber Backer, Shervin Pishevar, goes on 21-Hour Tweet-a-thon.

Shervin Pishevar is an entrepreneur and philanthropist currently residing in San Francisco, California. He was formally employed with Menlo Ventures, where he led the company in making investments in Tumblr, Uber Series B, and more.

One of his most recent jobs was working for Sherpa Capital, which he co-founded with Scott Stanford. This company, much like his last, works to invest in promising companies and adviser start-ups. The work done with Sherpa Capital has been reported on by Fortune magazine.

Shervin Pishevar recently took to Twitter to share his ideas on the future and share some legal advice, some of which teeters on the fine line of crazy. During this Twitter rant, Pishevar said he believes the stock market will drop 6000 points in the coming months and bitcoin will fall to a stable 2000-5000.

Nearly everything that Shervin Pishevar mentioned during the 21-hour Twitter rant was negative. He also thinks the days of California’s hold on tech development is over. He said that entrepreneurship is borderless and will ultimately lead to other locations evolving to great heights than California.

He considers big tech giants like Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon to have monopolies in their respective fields. This could be the primary factor in his hypothesis of the downfall of Silicon Valley and California.

“These 5 giants have too much power,” Pishevar wrote in a Tweet. “{They stifle] startups. Uber might be the last giant to eke out before it was too late.”

Uber was a company once backed heavily by Pishevar, he even worked for the company for a brief period of time before creating his own venture firm.

Shervin Pishevar doesn’t only believe California will fail, he also believes America will take a backseat to China in the coming years.

“Last week China built a train station in 9 hours,” Pishevar wrote in defense of China’s efficiency.
