Guilherme Paulus in the Hospitality Industry.

He is a renowned investor in Brazil’s tourism sector. Mr. Paulus is the pioneer of a popular tour operator called CVC and the GJP Hotels and Resorts that operates more than 20 facilities. The hotels are located in various parts of the country. During the early years of his career, he served as an intern at IBM. Over the years, he has gained a good reputation, and is considered a resourceful person. Some of the hotels are situated in Maceio, Recife, Salvador, and Rio de Janeiro. More than 5,000 people work in the resorts. Guilherme Paulus ventured into the lucrative hotel industry in 1995. About 95,000 people have visited his hotels. Guilherme Paulus also experienced financial constraints like many other entrepreneurs during the establishment of the company. He never gave up. He focused on raising the necessary funds and eventually succeeded. Mr. Guilherme Paulus proved most of his colleagues right as they always pointed out that he had the skills of a good entrepreneur. During an interview, he disclosed that he started the business from a small store that was located next to a cinema hall. CVC was founded as a partnership, but his partner left after four years. He is always optimistic and well organized in the performance of his daily duties. According to him, preparing a weekly schedule has made him more productive over the years.

Guilherme Paulus loves the idea of adopting technology in the business operations. He pointed out that that the new technology has increased the speed of acquiring and sharing information and that presents a good opportunity for businesses. According to him, some innovations have made it easy for firms to meet the changing customer needs and being competitive among the other players in the industry. He believes that there is a need for all managers to learn and ensure continuous improvement in their roles. He attributes his success to the interactions with the employees and customers.
