Due to the financial restraints in American Society, millions of Americans remain unable to attend college. In particular, the American workplace has become a hostile and demanding environment. In addition, the school achieved a $1 million-dollar donation from Mary McChesney. For those unaware, Mary McChesney once taught at the school as a professor. With that being said, the money will be used to create a Foucault pendulum. To expound further, people use the device to determine the Earth’s rotational spin. This remains noteworthy due to the pendulum being the only one of its kind in Orange County. Moreover, the planetarium remains integral to scientific studies at both the school and the surrounding community. Furthermore, McChesney made the donation to honor her partner who passed away in January of 2017. For over 33 years, McChesney taught English and Spanish at the school. In parallel, Orange Coast College possesses a rich history.

 

Moreover, the college remains headquartered in Orange County California. To remains exact, the school remains located in Costa Mesa, California. For those unaware, Costa Mesa remains around 40 miles south of Los Angeles. Since 1947, the school has reigned supreme. In addition, the school’s first classes opened in the fall of 1948. Also, the school provides its students with two-year associate of art and science degrees, and much more. Due to the magnitude of students that the school draws, the college remains the third largest college in Orange County. Moreover, the school enrolls over 24,000 undergraduate students. Also, the school remains renown around the United States in terms of its ranking. In total, the college 65th out of over 5,000 community colleges in the United States.
